Description

The true origins of Kajukenbo are obscure. History states that it originated through multiple locations throughout Asia.  Slight changes to martial art occurred in order to fit the environment that they were developed in.  When immigration to Hawaii began in 1924, the same thing happened.  The originator of Kajukenbo is Sijo Adriano D. Emperado.  He is the Founder, or Sijo, of the Kajukenbo Self Defense Institute (KSDI).
