The concept behind Dordle is simple enough for anyone to understand. Players are presented with two separate five-letter words hidden behind identical puzzle grids. Each guess is entered once and automatically applies to both boards. After every attempt, the game provides feedback indicating which letters are correct and whether they are positioned properly. The objective is straightforward: identify both words before running out of guesses.

What makes the game truly compelling is the pressure created by its seven-guess limit. In many word games, players can focus entirely on one solution and gradually narrow down the possibilities. Dordle requires a different approach. Since every guess affects both puzzles, players must constantly evaluate how much information they are gaining from each attempt. A word that helps solve one puzzle may offer little value for the other, forcing players to think strategically from the very beginning.

This challenge transforms every guess into a meaningful choice. Successful players often look for words that can reveal the greatest amount of information across both boards. Rather than rushing toward a single solution, they must balance exploration and efficiency. The game rewards thoughtful planning, making it feel more like a strategic puzzle than a simple vocabulary exercise.
